Cosmetic packaging tends to attract the attention of consumers and provide a boost to the sales of cosmetics.The processes used in cosmetic packaging are colouring processes and printing processes.
Specific introduction to the cosmetic packaging process
1. Colouring process
Electro-aluminium: aluminium exterior, just a layer wrapped around the inner plastic layer.
Electroplating (UV): compared to spraying the effect comes out brighter.
Spraying: the colour that comes out is a dull matt colour compared to electroplating.
Sandblasting: a layer of frosted texture.
Spraying on the outside of the inner bottle: is sprayed on the outside of the inner bottle from the outside with a clear gap between the outer bottle. The sprayed area is small when viewed from the side.
Outer bottle inside spray: is sprayed on the inside of the outer bottle from the appearance of a larger area. The area is smaller when viewed in a vertical plane. And there is no gap with the inner bottle.
Brushed gold and silver: a film, careful observation can be found on the bottle articulation gaps.
Secondary oxidation: This is the second oxidation of the original oxide layer, so that the light surface is covered with a dark matt surface pattern or the dark matt surface appears as a light
surface pattern. Mostly used for the production of logos.
Injection Colour: Colour powder is added to the raw material during the injection of the product. The process is relatively cheap. It is also possible to add pearlescent powder, as well as too-white powder to turn the PET transparent colour into an opaque one (some more colour powder can be added for colour mixing). The water ripples are related to the amount of bead powder added.
2. Printing process
Silk-screen printing: the effect after printing has a clear sense of concave and convex. Because it is a layer of ink. Silk-screen printing of the regular bottle (cylindrical) can be printed at once. Other irregular piece of one time cost. The colour is also a one-off cost. And divided into two kinds of self-drying ink and UV ink. Self-drying ink is easy to fall off in the long term, and can be wiped off with alcohol. UV ink is difficult to wipe off when touched with obvious bumpiness.
Stamping: is a thin layer of paper stamping on it. So it does not have the bumpy feeling of screen printing. And it is best not to stamp directly on the PE and PP materials. Heat transfer printing is required before stamping. Alternatively, good foil stamping paper is also available for direct stamping. Stamping is not possible on aluminium and plastic, but can be done on full speed.
Water transfer printing: is an irregular printing process that is carried out in water. The pattern of the print is not consistent. And it is more expensive.
Heat transfer printing: Heat transfer printing is mostly used for large quantities and complex printed products. A film is attached to the surface. The price is expensive.
Offset printing: mostly used for aluminium-plastic hoses and all-plastic hoses. Offset printing: if the colour hose is white, it must be silkscreened, offset printing will have the base colour come through. And sometimes a bright film or sub-film will be attached to the surface of the hose.
Embossing: a common printing process. The paper is pressed by the printing cylinder and the embossing cylinder, and the product appears in various patterns (so that the surface of the product appears uneven in various shapes of the pattern) of a post-processing process.
Hitting process (hitting convex, hitting concave, Braille, relief): is a special process technology in the finishing process of the printed surface, it applies Yin (concave), Yang (convex) mould, mechanical action to apply pressure beyond the elastic limit of the printed substrate, artistic processing on the surface of the printed material. It enhances the three-dimensionality of the printed image.
