Active oxygen barrier is a new type of barrier technology that has attracted
much attention in recent years. The American company INVISTA has developed a
single-layer PET barrier bottle with active oxygen barrier properties, and it
has been tried out in some breweries. Nanotechnology is also one of the main
methods to realize product functionalization and barrier properties. The US polyester
production plant and Eastman Chemical Company jointly developed the nylon
nanocomposite Imperm for PET co-extrusion multilayer blow molding, which is
used as the barrier core material for PET/nylon/PET three-layer bottles. The
Chinese Academy of Sciences has also successfully developed nano-PET beer
bottles for beer packaging bottles, which can meet the requirements of long
shelf life.
Although there is still a long way to go
for all kinds of plastics to be widely used in beer packaging bottles, the continuous
development of high barrier technology has made certain progress in the
application of beer, and it has high barrier requirements for packaging such as
